We are a dynamic social care provider of daytime, evening and weekend opportunities for people with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Our experienced and caring staff provide high levels of care and support to meet the individual needs of each of our customers. We go above and beyond basic care needs to allow our customers to experience a wide range of opportunities and activities in a happy and safe environment.

The range of facilities at Lowestoft include:

● Comfortable and flexible day room and lounge and dining area     ● Fully adapted kitchens for cooking skills and baking for the Compass Café
● Luxurious salon/spa for treatments such as manicures and facials    ● Fully loaded art room to cater for all art projects including a kiln
● Sewing/craft activity room with expert teacher     ● Sensory Room     ● Changing Places and Wheelchair Weighing Scales
● Beautiful gardens for growing produce and relaxing     ● Out-door area for adapted bikes – great fun!

We have a wide range of activities for customers to choose from to develop social, sensory and learning skills - as well as having fun! We also run a range of specific courses to enhance and develop skills such as computing, communication and cooking.

Art class with James Mayhew - a children's book illustrator
Our customers were delighted to take part in an art class with James Mayhew, a children's book illustrator, at Lowestoft Community Hub this morning (2nd October). 

The customers did drawings, painted to music and enjoyed the experience very much.

We offer singing, dancing and drama sessions with FABBA Theatre Company on Mondays and Thursdays at Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. Have a look at what they have been up to on their Facebook page @fabbatheatre.

Compass cafe

The Compass Café is a community café based at Lowestoft Library offering work experience and learning to adults with a learning disability and/or autism.

John Turner House: Respite Short Breaks for Suffolk
John Turner House, our Short Break Respite Unit is on-site which provides our guests with the opportunity to take part in the daytime activities at the hub - or explore the local area if they choose.

Thank You to Dunx Cycles in Lowestoft for sponsoring and supporting Leading Lives with our Pedal or Ride project at the Lowestoft Hub.

Since we first made contact with Dunx cycles over a year ago they have given us free services on our bikes and more than 30% discount on any parts we have needed. This has played an important role in enabling the Pedal or Ride project to continue. Thank you Dunx Cycles!
Suffolk Care Awards Winner
Also on the same site as our Community Hub is The Lodge - a detached 3 bedroom bungalow that has been refurbished to support three young people (18-30) who have a learning disability and/or are on the autistic spectrum to learn the skills they need to live more independently. 

The team at The Lodge were delighted to win a Suffolk care Award for Excellent Service Delivery. The whole team work really well together to ensure the best outcomes for our customers going above and beyond in all they do - well done team!
