Rock On Project

Author:

Leading Lives are delighted to have helped fund The Rock On Project - a music project for people with physical disabilities and additional needs delivered by Musica. It is a chance for people to engage in positive musical activities and receive tuition on a wide range of instruments. People can learn to write songs and be allowed to express themselves freely. There will be a performance at the end of the workshop to an invited audience of friends, family and peers.

As well as this being a fun experience and a great opportunity to try new things, these activities provide many positive outcomes:
Improved wellbeing
Improved confidence
Improved self-esteem
Improved co-ordination
Reducing social isolation
Improved physical stamina through the act of playing musical instruments.

It is also a great way of engaging in team work and making new friends.

We are looking forward to these workshops which will take place at our community hubs as follows:

Tuesday 10th September - Lowestoft

Thursday 12th September - Felixstowe

Tuesday 17th September - Stowmarket

Thursday 19th September - Ipswich
