A Dream Come True

Staff at one of our supported living homes planned a trip to London so that Shirley would be able to see Robbie Williams live on stage.

The whole day was carefully researched, train times, support at the stations, accessible taxis, changing places, access to the Stadium, and costings. Once this was complete the day was agreed and tickets booked, Shirley and support set off early catching the train from Manningtree to Stratford, once in Stratford they had coffee then checked into the Travel Lodge in Hackney for their overnight stay.

A walk around the area and lunch at a local restaurant followed before going back to the hotel to change before joining thousands of others at the Stadium for the big concert.
There were souvenirs to be bought and seats to be found at last they were ready and the concert started, an amazing once in a lifetime experience for Shirley.

Staff who supported Shirley quotes this "the most wonderful time was had, Shirley was so happy and excited on her return home and was excited to show everyone her programme, Robbie bear and and pictures. She also achieved a wonderful new experience; a train ride, an overnight stay in London and was able to see her idol live on stage"
