We believe in championing the people we support and highlighting some of the issues they face. We work with partners to raise awareness of ‘hate/mate’ crime and, also, to provide training to enable vulnerable people respond to potentially difficult situations and stay safe in their communities. Many of our premises are hate crime reporting centres.
Everyone has a right to participate in their communities and have their say in wider social and political issues. We work very closely with the Parliamentary Outreach Team to provide specialist training for people with a learning disability to understand the democratic process and register to vote in local and national elections.
